Bladex Participates in Syndicated Loan to Strengthen the Power Sector in Guatemala

Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior, S.A. (Bladex) has participated in a syndicated loan led by Deutsche Bank in favor of Arroyo Investors for USD 184 million, granted to its subsidiaries Energía del Caribe, S.A. and Central Generadora Eléctrica Huinalá, S. de R.L. de C.V.

As part of this transaction, Bladex has approved a disbursement of USD 35 million in support of a key project for the stability and efficiency of the Guatemalan power system, thereby contributing to the region’s energy development.

This financing strengthens Bladex’s strategy of leveraging its capabilities to support the energy sector in Latin America, consolidating its presence in the financing of strategic projects that drive economic growth and energy security in the region.
