Bladex Announces Historic Issuance in Coordination with Latinex

Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior, S.A. (Bladex – NYSE: BLX) announced the successful issuance of Costa Rican colones for a total of CRC 12,525 million, corresponding to the Senior AB Series, for up to CRC 25,000 million, of its Corporate Bond Shelf Program, carried out through the Latin American Stock Exchange (Latinex).

“Our new debt issuance represents a milestone both for Bladex and for the regional capital market, as it is the first issuance in Costa Rican colones executed from Panama and the first placement in a foreign currency through this platform. We would like to thank Latinex for its support in this transaction. Its platform and leadership have been fundamental to achieving this outcome,” stated Jorge Salas, Chief Executive Officer of Bladex.

“This transaction clearly reflects our strategic vision of integrating into an ecosystem that drives initiatives capable of connecting markets, expanding financing opportunities, and deepening regional capital market integration, creating tangible benefits for Panama and Latin America. In partnership with Latinex, our Bank will continue promoting initiatives that strengthen the consolidation and development of financial markets in the region, for the benefit of our clients and strategic partners,” added Eduardo Vivone, Executive Vice President of Treasury and Capital Markets at Bladex.

The issuance was structured and placed through MMG Bank Corporation, in its capacity as lead placement broker.
