Bladex Joins the Foreign Securities Market of the Santiago Stock Exchange
Bladex announced today the registration of its shares on the Foreign Securities Market of the Santiago Stock Exchange, with the support of Credicorp Capital. This listing will allow Chilean investors to trade the Bank’s shares in either U.S. dollars or Chilean pesos, under the ticker symbols BLX and BLXCL, respectively.
Bladex is a multinational bank originally established by the central banks of Latin American and Caribbean countries. It began operations in 1979 with the purpose of promoting foreign trade and economic integration across the Region.
Headquartered in Panama, the Bank has offices in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and the United States, in addition to its Representative License in Peru, to drive regional development and the expansion of its client base, which includes financial institutions and corporations.
In 1992, Bladex became the first Latin American bank to list directly on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) through its BLX share. Today, the share is also part of the Russell 2000 Index in the United States, and the Bank has been a debt issuer on the Mexican Stock Exchange for more than 12 years, strengthening its position as a regional financial institution with a global reach. Recently, Bloomberg ranked Bladex among the top eight arrangers of syndicated loans in Latin America.

This listing on the Santiago Stock Exchange enables access to a diversified base of local and regional investors, complementing Bladex’s presence on the New York Stock Exchange with a developed regional market,” said Jorge Salas, Chief Executive Officer of Bladex.
Bladex’s relationship with Chile has been consistent and strategic over the past 10 years. During this time, the Bank has participated in various transactions that have strengthened Chilean companies’ access to international financing and opened doors to global investors.
